The aim of the course is to help students to communicate well and effectively in academic environment, and to develop and acquire the diverse and necessary study skills.

 

Lili MESTERHÁZY (Communication teacher, McDaniel College Budapest Campus)


Upon graduating from the M.A. program in English Language and Literature of Sofia University "Kliment Ohridsky" in Sofia, Bulgaria, Lili Mesterházy returned to her native Hungary in 1999 and the same year, she began to work at McDaniel College Budapest. During her time here as a teacher of Communication at the Pre-Medical Track, she also worked as a film critic at the two biggest news sites in Hungary, index.hu and origo.hu for more than ten years.


The Communication course is designed to help students express themselves freely in written and spoken English and to prepare them for the entrance examinations by developing oral and written communication skills. It aims to build cultural awareness, to develop and acquire diverse and necessary study skills (listening, writing, reading, presentation, discussion, etc.), the basics of essay writing, and how to write a Motivation Letter and a CV as well.
