Adjunct Faculty member of the Pre-Medical Track at McDaniel College, Budapest – since 2007
After obtaining his MSc degree, István started working as a research associate in EGIS Pharmaceuticals, Budapest, Hungary, and at the Department of Biochemistry, Semmelweis University, Budapest. In 1983, he became a postdoctoral fellow at Department of Biochemistry, Semmelweis University, Budapest. In 1987, he joined the Department of Biochemistry as an assistant professor at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. He spent three years participating in research as a postdoctoral fellow at the Hormone Research Institute at the University of California, San Francisco, USA. Then, he returned to the Department of Biochemistry, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, where he taught Biochemistry and conducted various research projects as an adjunct, later as an associate professor until he retired. Now, he holds the title of professor emeritus at the same institute.
