This year, we proudly celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Pre Medical Track

Over the past years, we have successfully educated nearly 10,000 students. Click here for more information.

Károly MAZÁK

Education
PhD in Chemistry, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary, 2004
MSc in Biology, Chemistry and English, Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary, 1997

Employment
Adjunct Faculty member of the Pre-Medical Track at McDaniel College Budapest - since 2006
After Károly received his MSc degree in 1997, he joined the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Semmelweis University, where he currently works as an Associate Professor. In 1999, he translated Attila Villányi’s Chemistry problem solving book titled How to get an A in Chemistry into English. He received his Ph. D. degree in 2005. In 2012 and 2013, he spent a year as Research Associate with Prof. C. K. Larive at the Chemistry Department of University of California, Riverside, USA. His research interests include microspeciation of biomolecules, physicochemical profiling of drug molecules and the chemistry of membrane penetration and receptor-binding. At Semmelweis University, he teaches Pharmaceutical Chemistry to Hungarian, English and German students.
