Dr. Xinda Li from China

Xinda Li’s journey from China to becoming an internationally active dental professional is rooted in a strong academic foundation and an unwavering dedication to lifelong learning.
After completing the Pre-Med program in 2009–2010, he graduated from Semmelweis University in 2015 as the first Chinese citizen to complete the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) program, marking the beginning of a career defined by curiosity, perseverance, and international collaboration.
He continued to expand his expertise in Germany, earning two Master of Science degrees at the University of Duisburg–Essen, first in Implantology and Oral Surgery in 2019, followed by Periodontology in 2021. His commitment to excellence led him to an ITI Scholarship at Sichuan University and, in 2024, to an ITI Educational Week at Harvard University.

Upon finishing his doctoral studies, Xinda became the first Chinese PhD graduate of Semmelweis University, a milestone that further strengthened his role as a bridge between cultures within the academic community.

Holding medical licenses in six countries, Hungary, Sweden, Ireland, China, Norway, and the UK; Xinda works in private practice while actively pursuing academic research. His international scope also extends to collaborative projects connecting Chinese dentists with Semmelweis University through postgraduate courses and exchange programs.

With seven publications and active participation at conferences and workshops in Geneva, Basel, and Bern, he continues to engage dynamically with the global professional community.

Xinda fondly recalls his Pre-Med year as a formative experience that shaped his character and professional values. He attributes his deepest inspiration to his parents, whose example taught him perseverance, humility, and dedication.
