Dear Pre-Med Alumni Members,
This year we proudly celebrated the 35 th anniversary of the Pre-Med Program.
Altogether 389 students finished the Pre-Med Program from 45 different countries. Five years ago, we started an Award of Excellence Program, giving a 10% refund from the tuition fee to the best students. This academic year 11 students were awarded.
The new academic year is starting on 1 st September, 2025. Applications are still welcomed. Looking forward to meeting new and familiar faces again as this we have already received many 2 nd generation students and also sisters, brothers and friends of Alumni members.

As we are starting our new Ambassador Project, trying to establish local hubs for the Alumni Community, we welcome volunteers to help to organise and take part in this initiative.
Summary of the Pre-Med Alumni activities in 2025:
- Collecting email addresses, contacting old students – continuous
- Meetings – online or in person – with members of the Alumni Community who visited Budapest as a tourist or came to Budapest to an international conference
- Online Lecture – 23 rd January 2025 – by Nadav Pam, MD. The presenter aimed to showcase Formatk's non-invasive IPL and Diode Laser technologies for treating Rosacea, Acne Vulgaris, Pigmentation, and hair removal, highlighting a paradigm shift from traditional drug-based treatments to advanced, drug-free solutions with multiple advantages. Contact me if you are also ready to share your expertise in an online lecture with the alumni Community.
- Alumni Day – 19 th February 2025 in Budapest at McDaniel College – Science Afternoon – lectures given by young doctors and university students – introducing research and other possibilities at the Semmelweis University and the University of Veterinary Medicine.
- Semmelweis Alumni Reunion – 17 th -18 th May 2025 – McDaniel College Budapest Pre-Med alumni joined the Semmelweis Alumni International Reunion, where over 200 participants reconnected through discussions, campus visits, McDaniel College visit, city tours, a gala night, and a Danube cruise, celebrating shared memories and professional journeys.
