The use of biotechnology in medicine is becoming ever more widespread under continuous pressure from clinical needs. The development of sophisticated diagnostic methods, effective drug design and personalized therapies all require biotechnology.
The programme has two practice-based tracks:
- medical biotechnology
- pharmaceutical biotechnology
Both tracks will equip graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in basic research, as well as the clinical and pharmaceutical applications of biotechnology. The programme aims to deliver general knowledge in economics, management and business law. Although the course will cover mainly European Union practices, it will also discuss relevant issues specific for the USA, China and India.
